Founded in 2023 by actor and content creator Elias Beck, The Fables are a performing arts company born from the desire to put on shows that have largely been lost to time: the old tales and spectacles of audiences long-since-past that we believe have endured to the present day, with the goal of presenting them in a way that is not intimidating, but inviting to modern audiences; all while remaining true to the character of the original work.

Our challenge is one of translating works of classic literature from across history to the modern era, to bring the high arts down to earth without dumbing them down, and create new works that explore our shared past, a mission we hope to accomplish through putting on productions that are both faithful to their source material and crafted with care.

We are firm believers in the societal value of the arts, and endeavor to support local artists and collaborate with fellow theatre companies in the United States and abroad.
